Serving the Ville Community since 1893 ▪ A Jesuit Parish since 1959
Fr. Kevin Cullen, S.J. is in residence at the parish and will be departing soon to work in Thailand as the Country Director with the Jesuit Refugee Service. We will have an official 'SEND OFF' for Father Kevin at the Masses on July 31 and August 1. We continue to welcome Fr. Timothy McMahon, S.J. as the incoming Pastoral Associate for St. Matthew the Apostle..
St. Matthew Parish has resumed public Masses. Our Guidelines follow the Archdiocesan protocol. Weekday Masses have returned to the Parish Office / Rectory. Archbishop Rozanski lifted the dispensation for attending Sunday Mass and Holy Days on July 1st.
After July 1st, we enter the Church through the main doors and the Parish Office / Rectory up the side ramp. Protocols like temperature taking, hand sanitizing and mask wearing will continue to be encouraged. Open seating in the Church is possible. Processions during Mass and safe movements in the Church will slowly return. Receiving communion will remain masked for the safety of all. Exiting the Church will be each one's discretion. We continue to disinfect the Church after each use. The Parish Office / Rectory use is examined on a per need basis. The Family Center is not open for meetings.
Guidelines will be adjusted during Summer to help us remain well in mind, body and spirit. All are welcome to return using the established guidelines and protocols.
